I don't think it was overhyped here.  If it was, it was only one person, that's how it always gets blown out of proportion.

I am going to buy Lair, IMO the game looks awesome!

I believe most of PS3 owners want real next-gen game. Lair is such title. Here Sony supporters are convinced this game will be ok. It means something. Fact is Wii or X users have nothing to do with PS3 games. They don't like it - so what? It's not for them. Even if it will not sell hardware I believe it will sell itself pretty good (1,0 - 1,5 million WW). It will bomb only if press is very bad. Also there is no major competition for Lair till autumn.

And yes, it still has the potential for bad press though....the end product is still an unknown...I'm still suspicious.

 Atleast Bioshock will have good gameplay. Plus the benefit of being on PC and a console with three times the install base.

I have a PS3, yet I really dont care about Lair, and mind you that this is in spite of the game drought. I think Factor 5 is going to take Rouge Squadron 3s failed formula of ground and air combat, add in some dynasty warriors type hack 'n slash, throw in a pinch of hard to grasp controls, then call it mediocrity. But by adding a splash of pretty graphics, they make this meal palpable to game starved Playstation owners.

I believe press is everything for PS3 games. Anything below 8/10 is an instant kiss of death.

Yes, you have a PS3 but you are a "fake" user because of Wii... (you  prefer Wii over PS3 - that's unaccaptable for a "real" PS3 gamer)

It will not be nothing special because of user base and fact Bioshock is also a hot title for X owners. Still I'm expecting descent numbers... and yes anything below 1 million is a drama for such expensive title.
