To compare it to the 360 lineup, I would put it somewhere at the Bioshock level of interest. It has a niche following and may be a great game, but there isn't a lot of mass consumer interest in it. For the PS3/360, I'd put system sellers in this order:

1. GTA IV (will move units for both systems)
2. Halo 3
3. Blue Dragon
4. Heavenly Sword (somehow not even on that list)
5. Mass Effect
6. Uncharted
7. Bioshock/Lair

I intentionally left off Lost Odyssey because I'm still not certain that it will even release this year, despite promises from Mistwalker.

 Blue Dragon that high up are you serious? it shouldn't be on that list, leave everything the same just take out Blue Dragon and maybe switch Mass Effect and Uncharted or not that's debateable.

 He makes a good point.

I mean...let's say you're a PS3 user, and you're OF COURSE interested in those "top 3" games.  But you've been watching Lair and you're definitely looking forward to it, planning on buying it.

But you go to this poll...what do you pick?  FF XIII of course...that's the one you REALLY want the most...or GTA or MGS.

So yeah, let's not get all worked up about this poll.  Especially Blue3, who seems to think GameFAQ and GameSpot work in a conspiracy to take out the PS3, hehe.

It's no surprise that Lair is less popular then FF, MGS, and GTA.

But it's even less popular then Ninja Gaiden, Assassins Creed and Devil May Cry. That surprised me, if anything it shows that Lair will not be a console mover. People don't seem to be waiting for Lair to purchase a PS3. Its just going to be another "Motorstorm", or worse a "VF 5".

The thing is that Lair is not in 4th behind the "big 3", but in 7th.

Well I think Assassin's Creed is like the most anticipated new IP of next gen so far from the time they showed it for the first time. Devil May Cry is a popular franchise sequel, Lair is a new IP (harder to adopt) and Ninja Gaiden for PS owners who never had the Xbox version it's the best Xbox game outside of Halo that PS never got so I'm not surprised really. It makes sense to me anyway.

Too many games to get honestly cause I got all the consoles and the two hand helds but now I really gotta just save money to only get the absolute best one each platform. Even the PSP now has killer games coming out this year, a bunch of 'em more than the DS even...

Exactly.  Finishing 7th in a poll for most anticipated games is no shame.  There are probably others that I'm looking forward to more that aren't on the list, but I still want to play Lair.  Hard to vote for just one of those titles.

 To me Heavenly Sword is more appealing, but Lair looks really really good too it's something that there isn't right now on any of the next gen systems and I want it badly :D
