But why wasn't it shown at E3 or in the last direct? Perhaps last their sources heard it was planned for Wii U, but has since been shifted onto NX. I'm just spitballing some possibilitys here!

Because if it is coming, it's probably a second half of 2016 game.

That doesn't mean that they couln't have announced it in the last direct, Hyrule Warriors was announced in Dec.'13 and was released in the 2nd half of 2014

I'm not saying that they're forced to annouce the game, I was just saying that just because the game is in the 2nd half of the year ment they couldn't had annouce the game in Nov.

Of course but showing it would've avoided having basically nothing substantial for Wii U revealed last year, so I'd like to think they would of if they could of.
