I am disgusted by the business practices this generation! We as gamers should stand up to these companies and stop buying their garbage. I am not going to be politically correct like the forums want me to be because we as gamers deserve justice. I am fighting for all of you!

God damn season passes and DLC:

I see this as a response to the cost of games not increasing in a long time while the cost of development has.  Either the base price of games needs to go up, or they need to sell DLC

Broken Games:

I think people really overreact when it comes to bugs.  Do the AC games have a lot of bugs? Sure.  Does it make them unplayable?  I really don't think so

Remasters:

There have been a lot of remasters, I'll give you that

Lack of Content in Our Games:

Why is an MP only game such a bad thing?  MP only games suck, but SP only games are A-OK?  Seems like a double standard.

Graphic Downgrades

I don't really know what to say.  The development process is tough, sometumes things change and you can't quite hit the target you thought you could a year ago.  Of course outright false advertising is wrong, but I don't think many (if any) companies do it intentionally.

Episodic Games:

Eh, its just a different business model.  They tend to cost way less than a fill release

Summary:

No more EA

No more Ubisoft

No more activision

No more DLC

No season pass crap

No episodic games

Don't buy games you know are broken until they've been fixed This is the only one I agree with

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

Yep, shittiest generation I've experienced, and I started with the 4th.

Creatively bankrupt and just so stale and predictable. Years in and it stills feels like gen 7.

Once Wii U's done, I'm returning to retro gaming until the current scene gets a bit less atrocious.

How do you know if you only owned a Wii U?

I've played plenty of PS4 and Xbox One at friend's houses, stores, etc.

They don't feel any different than PS3 or 360. It feels like the same tired old 7th gen dragged out for over a decade.

If you just play the games at a friends house then I guess you will not ever feel like getting the console.

My friend has a Wii U, so I never felt the need to get one. Maybe eventually when they go cheap on the used market.

Playing Wii and 360 last gen with friends made me want one. PS4 and X1, by contrast, just do nothing to hook me.

I don't know, it's like dejavu.

I've played grim fandango and kings quest.  When does day of the tentacle release?  Give me some space quest as well please.

l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble?  If not, I'll keep looking.

I am on the other side of my sig....am I warm or cold?

Marco....

I'll never forget Arkham Knight pc launch. Worst. Launch. Ever.

By contrast, me playing those made me disgusted with gaming as a whole and basically lead me to quit console gaming for quite awhile. Call me nostalgic, but Xbox and Gamecube were sooooo much better. I did eventually buy some 7th gen consoles used, because you can't just say no to such a deal that I got. I no longer own any 7th gen console.

I guess something similar may be happening to you for 8th gen.

That's pretty much how I feel regarding the 8th gen. At this rate I plan to return to 4th/5th gen gaming for a while once Wii U tapers off, and maybe come back in the 9th gen and see if things have improved.

so what they are supposed to be then? and what improvements?

Meh... I've ennoyed a lot of games this gen.

DLC was an issue in the 7th gen as well. If anything, I feel publishers are getting better with that.

Broken and buggy games existed last gen as well. There have just been a few notable ones this gen. Again, something publishers have improved on.

Your examples of games with little content are PvP focused games. My advice is dont go to those games expecting a lot.

I agree. This generation is terrible for all those reasons you just listed. I'm just glad nintendo doesn't partake in any of that nonsense or else this generation would suck even more than it already does.

By the way, you forgot broken games.

Remind me again how you unlock that Challenge dungeon in TPHD?  ;)
