There is no trend to buck because Zelda U will be the first new mainline full home console Zelda release this gen. You're comparing apples to oranges.

The "trend" ended when Nintendo released a remaster as the first Zelda game on the Wii U. You can't use that game's sales to base how much an actually original Zelda game will sell on Wii U.

Reminds me of Wind Waker. Oh, and Twilight Princess. Oh, and Skyward Sword. Oh, and all of the games disappointed the fans.

Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are true open world Zelda games or first HD Zelda games!? I dont think so. Also reception about WW was pretty bad from revile till launch, also SS wasnt so hyped game and biggest Nintendo game till date. Some Zelda fans were disappointed by them, but they all are great games.
