It would be even more of a "Little Boys Club" with dark, gritty, realistic, mature games.

You know very well that there's plenty of variety even without Nintendo.

Nope, don't see it.

Ever heard of Uncharted? Ratchet & Clank? Sly Cooper? LittleBigPlanet? Tearaway? Gravity Rush?

Most of those don't real appeal to me. Sly and Ratchet, sure, don't know shit about Gravity Rush, most cartoony games these days are overshadowed by gritty "realistic" games anyway (Thanks for nothing, Call of Duty).

Whether they appeal to you or not isn't the point. The point is that there's plenty of variety is games beyond gritty, mature dark games.

PC gaming would have died without consoles being around. The market just isn't there other than for niche genres.

Lmao no it wouldn't have.

lets look at it from another angle---

the gaming industry is the exact same except Nintendo never existed. there are 3 platforms, Xbox, PlayStation, and give or take PC. all of nintendo's IPs never happened, and nobody has any idea what they would be like.

the gaming industry would suck. with fun, creative, wacky characters out of the way, companies would constantly be battling over graphics and how many shades of brown you can fit into a single image without trying to invent new ones. party games dont exist. the platforming genre is dead. all the gaming industry has to offer now are mindless shooters and bad indie games. the good innovative indie games never happened in this world, because the games that inspired them, again, never happened. it would be like every movie having the same plot, or every book having the same twists. people would get bored and gaming would die off.

4K VR porn would be standard by now and would cost 400$ everything included (console, headsets, controllers). Any advance Nintendo might have done for the gaming industry in the 80's and 90's was completely wiped out by the wii and teh casual. I Blame them for everything

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

We would have Sega, Sony, and Microsoft by now but it's not known which one would've came out on top of each other ...

Handhelds specialized for gaming wouldn't have been made until much later and also wouldn't be very mainstream until later on ...

No. We have no idea how it would end up.

Play station and Xbox were based on Nintendo consoles. So they wouldn't be around.

Gaming wouldn't be gone though, even during the crash there was still lots of gaming, it was just on a different type of machine, the commodore and other photo-PC style gaming systems.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

First of all, no you wouldn't, and second, League is literally one of the biggest games on the plannet today. It isn't even remotely niche.
