Forums - Sony Discussion - Playstation Vita Media Create Sales (2014 vs 2015 vs 2016)

Thats just japan sales right? If so, it really did start slow.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Summon Night 6 is also a game that can sell well.

World of Final Fantasy is a bit tricky. It can be a hit or miss.

Ya, kinda having somewhat high hopes for Summon Night 6. Summon Night 5 sold rather well for a dying handheld on its way out. Well, World of Final Fantasy is Square Enix's first final fantasy for Vita, so hope it does well enough for more vita support from sq-en.

It's been a long time since the last Summon Night game so i think there is some anticipation for this one.

For World of Final Fantasy, it will depend from the time release, marketing and reception since it's a game that seems like it can have some legs. Maybe a PSVITA special bundle with Amano artwork on the back would help too.

Slow in comparison to what?

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Final Fantasy X / X2 HD Remaster was the first Final Fantasy game on PS Vita and It did really well. ^^
Maybe that is the reason why we are seeing a better Square Enix PS Vita support! Will be interesting to follow upcoming Square Enix games on PS Vita (Dragon Quest Builders, Dragon Quest Heroes II, Saga Scarlet Grace...)

This year is going to be interesting in Japan.. I'm expecting a yoy increase compared to 2015. Can't wait to see!!

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

Actually a GAF insider said that FFX/X-2 performance on Vita is exactly the reason it gets more support (and he/she said it before Square Enix starts the PSVITA announcements).

Quite a slow start. What was the total sales for 2014 and 2015?

Please stay in your Nintendo lane if you are not going to read.  For 2016 the weeks are not aligned properly.

@Dr. Vita For charting purposes, I would start 2016 for media create at week 2 so its shows its properly alignment.  Its up about 10k over last year.

You are right, the first week comparison looks really strange but I want to keep this comparison as accurate as possible. ^^

Yep, it was definitely a good decision to put FFX/X-2 on Vita. :)
