Since they are happy with the sells and it sold over 1 million it seems this game did good. Should reach 3m ltd.

Couple of questions that can help me decide if this is good or not :)

Do we know what it sold in the USA in November?
Do we have a good idea what it did worldwide in November?
Was it discounted in December and by what amount?
Was it bundled in other deals as well as the Target bundle?

MS won't give actual numbers so this is more hyper bol PR BS from Greenberg  per usual.

It did not do very well word wide in Nov.

It was discounted during BF all the way through Christmas as it was as low as $30 at Amazon and many retailers. In fact you can buy new copies for less than $45 now on Amazon,

It was given away for free with other bundles and promotions for the holidays so I am sure that the toal sales including the givaways is over 1million.

This is just a spin to create psoitive news, which is his job and notice they say Forza sold over 1 million which struggled after its release and was also discounted and given away for free. They are just counting every copy regardless of it actually being purchased as a separate skew.

I agree with this but at the same time I can see why he threw that in because if you look at the frist tweet and then a site like this you'll know that the ones who first the first shots were those with deliberate doubt and the pressing for shipped data, when that doesn't turn out to be the case, shots were fired back in return when it turned out not to be shipped. To be fair a good chunk of this site always goes for shipped when it comes to MS and not at all for Sony so when the first ttweet starts out the way it did then that tells you something and that shots will have to be fired back in return until the folks who keep pressing that it's always going to be shipped data to nut up and shut up about it and just wait.

But yeah I can see this eventually getting derailed at some point but even then we're already seeing resounding "meh/not enough/shit numbers" comments anyway so it's not like this thread was ever going to have an ounce of positivity.

Attachment rates don't go hand in hand with the console sales, remember that. Also when comparing TR and RotTR sales you have to remember how both PS3 & 360 software sales plummeted in 2014 & 2015 due to the introduction of the 8th generation consoles. Naturally TR could have sold much better under "normal" conditions.

Anyways imo the exclusivity deal is stupid if the majority of the fanbase is on the other console, Tomb Raider started with Playstation and that's the bottom line...

I really want this to be true, but this is Aaron Greenberg. The guy who doesn't know that "shipped" and "sold through" are different. Remember when the XBOne only sold 3 million, coming into January 2014, but Greenberg was adamantly saying that it sold 3.9 million?

We know that the XBOne only sold 3 million by the beginning of Jan 2014, but Greenberg was spreading misinformation to make the product look better.

He said sell. He never said sold through. He was spinning PR, but he was just mixing the words up. He said sell-through, and not once has that ever been used to report sales to retailers...
