Well, that would probably be the only real solution. Hope the NX just doesn't generate hype. So, in a way, very true.

Yeah.. look at the reaction to Shenmue, Crash has a more recent and bigger fanbase.

And look at the sales for Zelda and Crash, as well as the metas. Zelda always comes out on top.

PlayStation is exploding right now. Crash a dead ip coming back to PlayStation 4 would be huge compared to zelda that's always been around and already been announced and releasing on a console that sales wise is performing badly.

The buzz for crash would be bigger than the buzz for Shenmue and I'd be very surprised if the zelda buzz this E3 is bigger than last year's Shenmue buzz.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Sony would win E3 if they announce anything related to The Legend of Dragoon. That would make me so happy.

Sony, if you're reading this, do something new with The Legend of Dragoon. You will make me a happy man. Thanks.

LoZ will more than likely be bigger than Shamnue. Shemnue to this date hasn't got to the 10 mil mark it was hoping to achieve. It is a HUGE reveal and I'm grateful it's happening even on a console I don't own (but I do eventually get them all), but bigger than LoZ?...

So you think nintendo will win this year's E3 by default by showing the NX? Perhaps you should rephrase the question to "What do you think it will take for any of the big 3 to win this year's E3?"

You do realize that only nintendo fans are really that interested in it at this point? Because no one within the gaming world even really knows what it really is so the only people who could be hyped for an unknown nintendo device are nintendo fans. It's not like there's a pile of average consumers or casuals piling over each other to speculate about it on forums or with friends. Core gamers are pretty busy with this gen's consoles and we haven't even hit the peak yet.

The solution, as with every year, is to display your product and upcoming games catalog in such a way that they generate consumer interest.  This is what companies care about the most.  They do this regardless of what their competitors are doing.

Contrary to popular forum belief, it's not a "win / lose" scenario.  Multiple companies can improve their sales potential with strong showings.  Still, though, it's not really much more than an extra advertising avenue.  "Winning" E3 in the summer means absolutely nothing if you're losing on the actual sales floor.

The question you seem to be asking, however, is something like, "can Sony and Microsoft win E3 from the perspective of a Nintendo fan who frequents online forums."  Well, no, probably not.

Real world, though?  Yeah, they can show off the next CoD and a steady stream of AAA third-party releases which will continue to move consoles.

I did change the topic sentence to "if the NX is very highly recieved".

True, but "losing on the sales floor" appearantly needs to be put in a little bit of perspective as well. A lot of people seem to think just because the Wii U is selling bad = there is no winning. Yet again I can point out Splatoon and Smash to show just how important E3 can be even on a losing console. Almost all of the hype for the game was generated at E3. These (along with Mario Kart 8) have been Nintendo's biggest wins this gen, and I fear for the sanity of people who don't think the Smash  and Splatoon tournaments at E3 didn't help a LOT.

New god of war.... Crash resurrected(it's going to happen) are two big ip that can make it very hard for Nintendo so overthrow sony hype..... Sony destroyed everyone last e3.... It was probably their best e3 ever
