I think people do way too much ”try out a little and then return it”, which means that shops put these units back to consumers as new items, and then it is a disappointment for the second byuer to realise the device was already used. Some claim and return again, some dont.
This is a problem especially in on line business, where the buyer does not have chance to check the package first. Personally I think that return policy should be such that only defective devices can be returned. This would save a lot of trouble because obvioisly the shops dont have time to check the returns properly.
Anyway, it was good that in this case the buyer ultimately got what they paid for.
