Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Koei Tecmo imply NX is a home console

I still think it will be a home console with a portable handheld like controller. I think it will support all features of 3DS and Wii U and be BC with all of those games.

Formfactor of the controller would be discussable, Maybe it's dual screen, maybe it's single screen. At least single screen wouldn't break BC when connected, but OTG it would...

So it's either a full home console or a home console that has a mobile/handheld compatible with it. Handheld only option is now over. We need more information about it, dammit.

Basicly.

Im surprised he didn't mention Xbox One or Microsoft <----- Could it be because its selling soooo bad in Japan?

I wouldn't be surprised if the only marketshare Microsoft has in Japan comes from westerners living there and Japanese westaboos (and even they probably just play western games on the PS4).

The quote in the title of this thread is not said by anyone at Koei Tecmo.

This is literally journalism at its worst.

You should have used the title from the destructoid article.

If I remember correctly, Reggie implied the same thing in June.

It's still "All Quiet on the NX front."

The NXHandheldGroup is getting smaller with every interview.

Nah I mean I can see it. The interviewer asked about the current state of home consoles in Japan and then Erikawa brought up NX on his own. Would be strange of him to do that if NX was indeed a handheld.
