She is only 7 so she loved it! Got her a few kids CDS, some Christmas ones as well since she knows the words of the songs. But yeah, I would not ever personally buy one.... anymore :)

Thats ok, I got my NES at 6 and after that i never got a new console ever again, and yes, I had a CD player when i was 9, best gift ever, too bad I couldnt afford many Cd's. Good memories... Then I bought the PSX and I came to the dark side again hehehe

Got a PS4 around black friday. I don't see any point in getting any more gaming consoles this gen.

PS4 won, officially, but to me the Xbox One had the better AAA's. Perhaps next year things will be different and I will feel like Sony got a legitimate win.

I have a X1, WiiU and Vita and plan on getting a 3DS soon. But I haven't bought any new consoles this fall.

I'm one of the "other" people. I already have a PS4 and New 3DS XL, i didn't get any syatems for Christmas.

Got myself a ps4 last weekend at last because it was on sale, or else i'd wait a lil longer. Didn't regret one bit!

They got a legitimate win because people who purchased one thought the games they could buy were better than what was on offer from another console.

It's all subjective... what isnt is which console is selling better... so thus to more people it's the better console.

I dont want to do list wars, but I purchased lots of third parties at xmas, but through out the year PS4 had more games and a much better variety. Just like the saying.... "A console isnt just for Xmas" ;)

The Playstation is selling well because its the most popular console. Everyones friend has it so they will buy it regardless of exclusives just like the 360 last gen. The runner up tends to work harder, much like Sony did last gen when they drowned the 360 in exclusives post 2008. Of course, Microsoft's internal first party isn't as good as Sony, but they secured a lot of quality titles that deserve mention.
