yeah agree with that, but the OP is discussing about pushing Wii U limits.

What the developers drag out of the Wii U is astonishing. Especially when you consider its using a fraction of the power of the ps3, ps4, Xbox, Xbox 360 and the Xbox One. Wii U might be the most well balanced power/power usage console in gaming history. That is what you guys really need to wrap your head around.

I know he didn't say that. I was saying that his original "justification" for wanting a wii u and not wanting a ps4 was, quite frankly, dumb. Just like it's dumb to say "ps4 has no games" or "wii u is for kids."
He was literally holding the wii u at a lower expectation because of it's weaker predecessor. He was holding the ps4 at a higher expectation because of its stronger predecessor. That's a double standard. I called him out on it. That's it.
Like with any console, Wii U's software has improved graphically over the years, as developers have gotten more experienced with its hardware.
With games like FAST Racing Neo and Xenoblade Chronicles X it's probably fair to say we're seeing close to the upper limit of its capabilities; that is, beyond what PS3/360 could do, but only slightly.
Also, can we please not turn this into a system war? Which console's library one prefers isn't really on topic here.
I've been more impressed with the graphics in my Wii U collection than my PS4. That's not saying that the PS4 isn't more powerful, obviously. I've just seen things out of the Wii U that I wouldn't have believed possible if I had to take EA's word for it.
So many of the titles use great art styles in conjunction with creative programming to induce a "Wow" factor that most of the PS4/XBO library can't match.
It'seems crazy to imagine that some of these titles are the result of teams working in HD for the first time.

I read the content as well as the title. Not my problem the writer isn't careful enough.

That is both self-evident and at the same time entirely irrelevant to the OP's point.
The point was, obviously, that as the title of the thread states, developers are pushing Wii U hardware. It's a discussion of Wii U hardware and graphics. Not a comparison to other hardware.

I'm shocked at how many people are saying PC games are asthetically boring and how many Nintendo Fanboys are on the site. Those Xenoblade Texture pop ins and 90% terrible shorelines. These games have no anti-aliasing, terrible jaggies and look not even half as good as Witcher 3, but "the only difference between PS4 and Wii U graphics are resolution". http://static.gamespot.com/uploads/original/mig/2/5/7/7/2042577-718939_20130611_021.jpg http://i.imgur.com/bu88o3X.jpg JAGGIES

Jaggies in MK8 doesn't look really that bad when you see game in motion in comparison with those screen shots. MK8 looks beautiful in motion even with jaggies, everytime when I playing MK8 after longer break I say to my self how beautiful game looks.

It's most impressive advantage is having much more foliage in the background (if you know how much power they can cost). However, the game couldn't hold a stable 30 fps if it's life depended on it, and the stuttering framerate is noticable througout almost the entire video, sometimes very strongly, too. |
Blasphemy
It only goes to show that graphics is hitting the wall of diminishing returns.
It's honestly getting harder to tell the difference between generations.
