That was the main thing fan mockups featured. I guess Splatoon like motion controls are out of the question.
Not a feature I care for with this game. Would have been nice though.
I'm wondering what the world size will be and if it will up to date with the other console versions.
I don't see how anyone is shocked by this.
Remember, Microsoft owns this IP and the company that made it. Did anyone honestly think they would let another system's version have something that their own can't do?
People should be happy it's even on the Wii U at all.
Th WiiU gamepad is, like, made for games like Minecraft, yet they will not use it?

Yes as it was done well by Nintendo in Mario Maker, so there is a natural expectation for Minecraft to follow |
that was one game hence the "barely" part. And this is still an indie game at the end of the day, i didnt expect much but thats just me.

Inventory screens and maps were the most prominent features that third party developers and Nintendo implemented on the Gamepad. That's exactly what people imagined with Minecraft, nothing that wasn't done before. Arkham City did it, Human Revolution did it, Blacklist did it, Pikmin 3 did it, Chronicles X did it. |
true, but those are much bigger titles. This is still an indie game at the end of the day a big one, but probably not the budget of those not even the ports. I just wasn't expecting them to go all out i figured it would be bare bones, just to say its on the system
For some reason mojang doesn't seem to get that a freaking touch screen is perfectly suited for minecrafts crafting system (and inventory management).
I remember buying the pocket edition expecting to be able to drag and drop craft on my phones touch screen. When I saw the actual crafting system they implemented I was like 'WTF?! What is this sh**? You took out, one of the most enjoyable parts of the game!'
This is dissapointing, but sort of expected....
Honestly, I would be surprised if there was support for Gamepad as a second screen, that would mean extra work and not just porting from another console...which, I'm guessing, they figured doesn't pay off.
More surprising is price, why is it $30 on WiiU when everywhere else (non pocket edition) is $20?
Oh, so this rip off piece of shit is 10 dollars more, and they don't even have the bullshit excuse of it uses the gamepad? Fuck that shit. Skip this crap. I guarantee, this game doesn't sell 200k on wiiu.
So the most obvious function for the Gamepad for Minecraft on the Wii U was ignored.
That's unfortunate.
