History pretty much tells us it is not going to sell well..... Nintendo consoles have been on a downward trend for quite a while.

 

I own a Wii U and liked Splatoon but it is GREATLY overrated.

 

OT: No way, Splatoon 2 will sell less than 1. Probably 2-3 million

Snes-successful

N64-somewhat successful

GC-Flop

WI- successful

Wii U -flop

Nx- Succesful?(If we go by Nintendos History)

Your definition of a flop and a somewhat successful console interest me. The N64 sold almost 33 million consoles. Not too shabby at all. If that is only somewhat successful would you also say the same about the Sega Genesis that sold less than this? I would beg to differ.

And then the GameCube... A flop? Does that mean the XBox was a flop? Look at the current sales for the Vita, Sony would love to have a "flop"like this.

Besides the fact that the Wii u is unsuccesful to think it's console sequel would spawn a GTA esque popular game is very unlikely.

Not at all, game gets credit exactly like it deserves. Its my most playing Wii U game even its game that I have the least time in the possession.

NX will definitely do better than Wii U, we just need to see how much better.

Well N64 was second best selling console of that gen, but it sold 3x less than best selling console, so we cant say that is success but we cant say that is flop either.

Gamecube is worst selling console of that gen and it was sell 6x less than best selling console of that gen. So yes, definitely flop.
