Your definition of a flop and a somewhat successful console interest me. The N64 sold almost 33 million consoles. Not too shabby at all. If that is only somewhat successful would you also say the same about the Sega Genesis that sold less than this? I would beg to differ.

And then the GameCube... A flop? Does that mean the XBox was a flop? Look at the current sales for the Vita, Sony would love to have a "flop"like this.

Well N64 was second best selling console of that gen, but it sold 3x less than best selling console, so we cant say that is success but we cant say that is flop either.

Gamecube is worst selling console of that gen and it was sell 6x less than best selling console of that gen. So yes, definitely flop.
