Forums - Gaming - Street Fighter V, King of Fighters XIV and Tekken 7 all announced for PS4 but not XOne.

I was led to believe it was also coming to Xbox1 at some stage but it seems rather ambiguous as to whether it is timed exclusive or just exclusive content to PS4.

Killer Instinct is enough for me. Plus like puggsly said there are other fighters on the Xbox One. It's not bare dry at all.

Don't get me wrong, I still want to play SFV. I will certainly get it when I buy a PS4. But hey... I feel like I played countless Capcom fighters in the last 20 years or so. Frankly, my excitement for SF at this point has become luke warm.

KI has been refreshing, there isn't anything quite like it. Honestly, I'd be more excited about a SF game if they let the KI team develop it.

Ever thought about trying to follow the FGC (in particular the tournaments) for Street Fighter? Unless you already are. I started doing that around 2010, and it has really reignited my passion for the game and other fighting games as well.
There's the biggest (most stacked) Street Fighter 4 tournament ever tomorrow, at the PlayStation Experience. 32 of the best players in the world are playing for $250.000, after qualifying through a series of 40 tournaments throughout the year. It's pretty much the last chapter for Street Fighter 4, as 5 comes out in February. Having favorite players to root for and learn from in tournaments can be pretty fun.

It will be streamed on twitc.tv/capcomfighters

Make a thread so I don't miss it!

I think I'll check that out.

I don't think its gonna reignite my enthusiasm for the series, but I'll download it and watch it during some free time. I never really watched guys at this level, but I've certainly been beaten by high level guys online.

Well, M$ owners only give a damn about sci fi/military shooters and racing games so it's no surprise. Why do you think SunSet Overdrive, Rise of the Tomb, and MGS V didn't sell? And why do you think you think you don't have a new Banjo Kazooie and Conker? M$ owners don't care about Rare's games.

Also, the Xbone version of Final Fantasy 15 and Kingdom Hearts 3 equals dead on arrival. And it's not coming to Wii U where those games would sell unlike M$.

Well I think Sunset Over, Rise of The Tomb Raider, and MGS V are all going to be million sellers in the long run. Sunset might be there already with digital numbers.

There are a lot of million sellers on X1 that aren't shooters or racing games. You should go do a little research. Also, its a console with a rapidly growing userbase so that raises sales potential of upcoming games.

Now I'm not implying all these games are profitable by selling a million units on X1 alone. However, that's good enough sales to justify ports. Wii U stopped getting support because its abysmal sales. Many 3rd party games struggle to even achieve 500K on Wii U.

While I agree with MGS V.  If Sunset Overdrive was on the PS4, the Xbox One numbers wouldn't be nearly as high. I would go so far to say it'd tank on the Xbox One. Many users got an Xbox One for that title, I even got the collector edition console.  If it was on the PS4, I would have gotten the PS4 console, and that's one less sale. Without the exclusive marketing on Xbox One, that'd make things worse.

Tomb Raider is just a mess...there are so many possibilities it's not even worth thinking about.

Sunset already went past the million mark not long after their release. Thing is, the XONE has a higher digital attach rate, so it lends itself to an small phenomenon that gives the illusion of selling lower numbers, but it's because XONE owners have become digital only gamers, I myself am one of them. Discs are only popular among a few. I myself decided to join the full digital league this gen (and I have the advantage of vertical XONE placement) so there is more room for other stuff that occupies less space, like SSDs...

Both consoles but ps4 gets exclusive content.

Phew... that one was, unlike KoF and SFV, a game I didn't want to miss and I'd rather steer clear of Sony this gen...

The article seems to be mistaken. Thre's no Xbox announcement there. Click on the link to the announcement, and you'll only see PS4 mentioned. No mention of Xbox on the Wiki page either: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tekken_7
I think it will be announced for Xbox though. Doesn't seem like a game that would skip out on that cnsole.

If it does, then I will be pissed. Tekken is one of those "must have" games, but not must have enough to sell me a system I don't want...

Fun fact. The PS4 is the leader in digital sales. (multiple sources back up the claim)

After the 360 had such strong support for fighting games and finally getting Killer Instinct it's sad to see that support for fighting games on the Xbox has dried up so much.

The deadzones on the Xbox One controller wouldn't do them justice anyway.

Didn't know about this until you (and Ren) brought it up. Was actually quite suprised.

Even if PS4 had Sunset, I think it could have sold a million on X1 over time (with digital). Frankly, I'm surprised MS hasn't pushed Sunset more. It would have been a great bundle game this holiday.

Yeah, Tomb Raider isn't doing great. Userbase is part of the issue and that's rapidly growing. The last Tomb Raider did 482K on week 1 when the 360 userbase was a lot bigger than 16 million. As the X1 userbase grows software sales will also increase.
