Forums - Sales - Hardware 28th November - Black Friday Week

That might be true, but I'm not the one updating the hardware figures. I know Brett would want see the press release.

Everyone knows I'm STUPID when it comes to numbers but for me there's a simple workaround until we get the NPD. We know the XB1 numbers because of the increased percentages MS reported. We also know from trakcing firms that Black Friday was close but they give the nod to the PS4 by 1%. So, take those XB1 numbers ard use them for the PS4 too. Sony have said they have 70% of the European market so any numbers that don't come close to that should be given closer attention.

Yeah. The WiiU had a much better BF week than it did last year, so I highly doubt it's overtracked.

Guys, guys. We can only go off of Nintendo's official numbers, not off of what one retailer said about one week of sales. According to Nintendo, they have shipped 10.73M Wii Us as of September 30. That's why 11.2M sales as of November 28 makes no sense.

I was actually thinking of Infoscout when I made that post. The PS4 and Xb1 combined had a share of 83% according to them. Let's also assume that both of them sold around 1.65m during BF. If both of those are true  then there's no way the WiiU sold less than 250k during BF. I'm only talking about NA here of course.

So you know how many they shipped since Sept 30th?

Nope. However, logic dictates that it wasn't one million.

Huh?

Where was the Xbox One out of stock? At least the biggest online retailers had the X1 on stock.

It's doubling down on the outcome. 'I'm really surprised the XB1 won because it was low on stock' or 'I'm not surprised the PS4 won because the XB1 was low on stock, but NEVER 'congratulations, the PS4 won.' It's always to do with something the XB1 is lacking rather than what the PS4 has done better. Haven't you noticed?

Damn, that reply is both hilarious and embarassing to read. Can you leave me out of your console warz stuff, please? I mean.. congratulations? Who the heck would I be congratulating? Sony? Does Kenny K lurk here or something? PS4 owners? I am one myself. Should I give myself a pat on the back? LOL. Congratulations.

It should be a surprise any time the Xbox beats the PS4 in a sales situation. Again, if the numbers are true. Which as I said, they probably aren't, because it wouldn't make sense. I hope that helps.

William, with all due respect. how can it be that Brett saw the blog post by Larry Hyrb, but missed the Sony 30.2 million announcment?  That was kinda a big deal and I belive you wrote an article on it.

You do have a more negative stance towards PS4 and I've seen you on many occasions in the trenches of the console wars so I don't think you can take the moral high ground here.

PS4 sold 30.2 as of November 22. Ending week of the 28th has it at 30.3. Should have just posted the hardware numbers for the 21st.

ya... anyone really think there is a snowballs chance in hell that MS Won BF and did not immediately make it known to all.

psn- tokila

add me, the more the merrier.

Damn, PS4 didn't even budge in Japan. lol

Great job to Microsoft! The Xbox brand is very strong, I can't believe people STILL buy 360's ay the current volume AND with backwards compatibility on Xbox One. Honestly a Win-win for MS.
