well i think the major deciding factor for me was 2 things, Halo which at the time PS didn't really have any major Blockbuster and Rare which I grew up loving Rare though my youth. Apart from that I mainly game on PC now since its getting the best of both worlds these days.


PS didn't had a blockbust on the Halo sense you mean right? There were even FPS for it at the time and several blockbuster of different genres... and unfortunately Rare never displayed the same greatness after leaving Nintendo =[

Ye the most popular/best JRPGs like Star Ocean, World of Final Fantasy, Tales of Beresia and Zestria, Persona 5, Valkyria Chronicle, NIER 2 and if rumors are true Dragon Quest XI all super avaliable on XBOX One... there are even some smaler ones like Darkest Dungeon (wich is a western developer but the gameplay is a hybrid of JRPG and western ideas and stuf, at least imo), Ys VIII and others that are also totaly comming to XBOX One. And lets not forget Final Fantasy XIV wich is a MMO but has more FF hearth and soul on it than any game on the FF series since IX.

Your preference is your preference, there are plenty of very plausible reasons to favor the XOne over a PS4, but the "most popular JRPGs are comming to XOne" argument just isnt one of them.

But raw numbers speak heavily in favor of PS4.


So i am guessing you owned a 360 last generation over everything else?

Out of curiosity,  you do realize that quite literally, the PS4 has better quality and quantity of JRPGs. Star Ocean 5 is gonna be great but, even Final Fantasy 15 will probably look and perform better on PS4.  Do you have a personal bias against PlayStation? I  know some folks who just feel uncomfortable with things that are the 'most popula' especially if the popular choice isn't their first choice. I ask because no one questions you choosing Xbox.

Except for the Wii actually sales does equal the best console, being more popular, and a bigger user base defiantly does help. But like I've said before if you like the games you play on the platform you prefer on play then obviously the gamer is is the winner...

The same XBox fans that said that the XB1 was going to catch-up to PS4 sales, performance and game scores are now the ones saying that sales, performance and game scores don't matter.

I have nothing against having a preference. But please don't try to justify it by saying that the aspects your preferred console is lacking, are irrelevant, because you are not fooling anyone.
