Holy crap!Few games makes these numbers, so its incredible it shipped 12 million day one.Could we see another GTA5 sales level?

Gta legs were insane because it had one of the best multiplayer experiences on console,  then re released on the x1 and ps4, before finally coming to PC.  and all while rockstar constantly updated the online with awesome free dlc.  Fallout 4 won't have any of gtas benefits except for 1 which is mods on pc.  

 

So no it won't have legs like that but it could have skyrim like legs and I hope it does.

Xbox 360/PS3 and PC version ofFallout 3, sales of the game have earned more than $300 million worldwide in its first week of availability, according to creator Bethesda Softworks.

"Approximately 4.7 million units" have been shipped since the title’s October 28 release, a figure that Bethesda characterizes as "record sales."

Why would you ship a digital download? It has to mean physical only right?

Shipped is a sold copy for the publisher. It's just a term to show the amount they've sold to either you or retailers.

Fallout 4's release caused Pornhub's traffic to plummet

While Bethesda is celebrating record-setting sales for the newly released Fallout 4, not everyone is happy with the open-world, action-RPG's release. Pornhub, no stranger to Fallout 4 (remember the leaked gameplay video?), made specific note today that traffic plummeted upon the release of the highly anticipated game.

"Like watching a good Pornhub video, anticipation of the release had been building up, and once the moment arrived, dedicated gamers thought of little else – including visiting Pornhub," the company wrote.  (Continued)
