Why Super Mario 3D World is much, much, much better than Super Mario Galaxy

I am not a fan of 3D Mario Games (specially Sunshine), but I liked 3D World, so I have to agree with you.

Mario 3D World is alright, maybe a 7.5 out of 10. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are 9.8 and 9.9, and are among the best games of all time.

Lets be real, this was a 3DS spinoff caliber game, and lacked inspiration. It is not up to par with console Mario, especially not Galaxy.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I consider 3D World a 3D Mario game, and I had a lot of fun with it.

Same is said with Galaxy 1+2, since I like both, despite me not being a big platforming fan

You described the flaws of Galaxy 1 that was mostly fixed in Galaxy 2. What then, do you think is the better game? I think Galaxy 2 is better by a small margin imo.

I am usually good at deciphering broken English, but your question was something else. You started it with "You like both dimensions of super mario games, (...)" which is okay, but then the rest didn't make any sense. I'll show you by completing the question with what you have announced to be the correct interpretation.

"You like both 2D Mario and 3D Mario, but do you prefer 2D Mario like me or do you dislike 3D Mario?"

The part before the comma contradicts the part after it. I can look past poor grammar, but the above is nothing short of incomprehensible. And while you consider my initial answer taunting, it is merely descriptive with the implication that you should reframe the question, because once I understand what you are asking, I can actually give you an answer. Now if I had used words like "excuse me" and "please", that would have been more like actual taunting because that's not how I usually talk. It could be interpreted as me talking down to you.

There's nothing irrational about trying to clear up a misunderstanding.

I'm English and his question, while worded oddly, and with incorrect grammer, still makes sense.

I don't know this thread comes at a moment of great confusion in my life...

I am re-playing Galaxy on my Wii in the bedroom at weekends... first time since WiiU came out....

and replaying SM3DW too on wii U...

I have always considered Galaxy to be my fav Mario games of all time - however.... now...
I feel a bit more about 3D world...

Not sure why but something is switching.....

Switch!!!
