Most of them are in Kyoto. Some are in Tokyo. A few in America.

You're comparing Nintendo of today to the best of what Nintendo over the course of five years. With that in mind, let's think about Nintendo's past half of a decade.

The Nintendo of Today is the same one that was brave enough to re-imagine many of their main franchises. Skyward Sword, Link Between Worlds, and spinoffs like Triforce Heroes each pushed the Zelda series in new directions, Super Mario 3D Land/World and Super Mario Maker redefined how the Super Mario games were played, and Pokemon Gen 6 was the most apparent leap in series history.

Today's Nintendo is willing to make big and epic games. Not only was Xenoblade released in the West, but its following was rewarded with a 3DS port, SSB4 representation, and much faster localization for the sequel.

Today's Nintendo is willing to revisit their past, reviving lost icons with no bars held. Kid Icarus, Star Fox, Pikmin, and Luigi's Mansion all saw returns to form, often stronger than ever before.

Today's Nintendo is willing to make a risk. It could be an eShop exclusive based on pushing blocks, an Intelligent Systems strategy RPG based on American public domain characters, or a team-based paintball shooter. And they are eager to work with outside companies too, cooperating on games like Bayonetta 2, Devil's Third, Hyrule Warriors, and LEGO City.

Today's Nintendo is a fine specimen.

I understand exactly what you mean. I can't say that I've been unhappy with the Wii U, but it definitely seems like it is missing those "epic" experiences you mentioned. Honestly for me though, it's always been all about Zelda and Metroid when it comes to Nintendo, so it's easy to see why this gen hasn't been great for me. One of the reasons why I'm probably going to buy a PS4 this year...I need some of those epic adventure games that Nintendo used to make.

They've been growing to bigger and better things. We can only hope that they will be taking a liking to their past successes. I mean, it's still rumored that we'll be seeing a TP HD Remake. All is not lost.

I was wondering if I would make it past the first page before I seen a list.

These threads are too typical :/

What's your opinion on the subject? (lists aside)

Nintendo still makes fantastic games. I have gripes with their over usage and reliance on Mario, but I don't think their software has degraded in any way.

Nintendo does not make EPIC games   they make games from their own IP   (Joke)

Yeah seriously,  i would like to see Samus in HD glory at least on Wii U level of graphic, unreal engine 3 will be enough actually, making like Gears of War Graphic, with Metroid gameplay or make Metroid Prime games to be 3rd person view. it would be awesome.

The Fillers and now this. Nintendo fans don't know what they want anymore.

Kid Icarus uprising.

They still do. It seems like they don't as much because we're spoiled. Everything's gotta have a low at some point.
