Yeah I don't know either, but DSL should work fine....

Rule number 1: You don't live in Toronto
Rule number 2: you don't use Rogers.

other than that, you should be fine. ;)

Mine is comcast and I get 6mbps downloads and 756kbps uploads. I pay 40 dollars a month.

Verizon FIOS ftw

MTS FTW! Actually you can only get that if you live in Manitoba so...

Maybe Shaw?

I think you mean 7mbps and 6mbps, either way those are both very good download speeds for gaming. You need to find out the upload speeds thought, I wouldn't settle for anything less that 256kbps for gaming.

tpg is a good provider.

I have the virgin broadband/phone deal wich gives you free broadband at around 550kbp - 700kbps (60 - 80KB) (Yes slow but it is free) and playing COD4 is ok, not the best but still ok. I thought having 60 - 80Kb download (about 25K - 30K up) would have been fast enough but I still get fairly bad ping in other games... so anything of 1.5mbps and abouve (ADSL 2+ (24mbps connection)) you should have no problem. 6Gb is more then enough unless you are gonna download heaps.

Oh how I wish for the days of good programing in MP gaming. I remember when dialup with Quake 1 gave under 150 Ping... now COD4 with a 20 x faster connection can be laggy as all hell!!!

It's me...  no really, it IS me!!!

AT&T is the worst. STAY AWAY FROM AT&T AT ALL COSTS.

My connection is pretty good during the day (around 3mbps) and slower than dial-up at night (24k, I swear)
