Someone gonna make a Wii printing money for John Lucas to use? :)
Ok. After considering some things, I guess I can agree with John Lucas' predictions. You should have them as sig.
Good job Lucas! Wii passing 360 in month of July beginning to look more and more of a reality.
Sony is doing well in its other businesses, but Sony is much more likely to jettison its gaming business, espeically with Stringer's emphasis on profits over all else.
The playstation brand has been a winner for 10 years. Now that it's not making money, not being a gaming company and with electronics (flat panel, cell phones) bringing in massive profits, there really is a distinct possibility Stringer discontinuing its gaming business by spinning it off.
Even a Sony-Nintendo joint venture is possible. Before people jumping on my back, a Sony-Samsung joint venture was unthinkable a few years back--and yet it's here.
Why compete with Nintendo if you can join hands with them? Sony and Nintendo would actually be a match made in heaven, way better than Apple and Nintendo or Microsoft and Nintendo.
A Sony-Nintendo alliance makes so much sense for Sony it's scary to even think about it. They nearly joined up a decade ago, they could easily give it another go 2 years from now.
the Wii is an epidemic.

No way.
With out PS3 Bluray would have been batamaxed already, but with it its the high def market leader.
Think PS3 costs, but also think Br sales. Think Royalties Sony will get from everyone if BR wins.
I'm not so sure about that. While the video business may be big, the royalties from blu-ray disc production and hardware may not be as big as 75% of the video game business. I can't say for sure which is bigger, it would take some research to run the numbers.

Yahh, but with out PS3 BR would be dead right now.

well Casino royal sold 100k already, 1/2 milion Br movies sold (not sure)
Sony wont have to pay royalties for releasing their movies, other will pay them. (pretty good deal)
