What Should I do

Buy Wii U now 203 42.65%

Wait for NX 125 26.26%

Buy Wii U at bargain price 86 18.07%

Buy Hooker 62 13.03%

Total:476

Get a PS4 that console will be supported for at least 8 more years, you can't say that about the wii U or the NX

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I think you should go for the Wii U. I personally love this console a ton and I don't think the NX will be what everyone says it is.

Nintendo has been telling us it will be a third pillar system to the 3DS and Wii U.
Even if it does release in 2016, that does mean it won't be replacing either of them.

I might pick up a Wii U after the NX's official announcement sometime next year, because by then the price will be slashed significantly.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I'm getting once it has a huge price drop with the NX inbound. Some good games I wanna check out.

Not excited about using that Gamepad though.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

Wind Waker HD
Pikmin 3
Super Mario 3D World
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
Yoshi's Woolly World
Super Mario Maker
Splatoon
Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker
Super Smash Bros. 4
Bayonetta 2
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Pokken Tournament
Genei Ibun Roku #FE
Twilight Princess HD (maybe)
Zelda U

More than good enough list of games to buy a console for.

Go get WiiU now. While NX shows promise, it's not immune to having a weak launch window or having a price too high to be worth it at first.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

NX will be a better console than the PS4, but that can already be said just for the WiiU anyway

Nintendo really hasn't made a console that made "sense" hardware wise since the SNES. Sure, you could argue that they went cheap and put a processor in it that was too slow, which allowed the Genesis to win in the US, but it was still on par or better power wise. The N64 was when things started to get funky and it only got more funky each time after that.

I wouldn't hold my breath. This is what Nintendo does now. All I hope for is a standard controller. lol

You're asking them way too much.

lol.. please don't cruch my hopes like that.

Genesis didn't win in the US and the SNES was overall more powerful, it was only weaker in one single aspect.

Genesis did win the us, and we've been through this before. It's offically sourced and you can find, read, and see that source via the wikipedia article by clicking on the source. Multiple, official, sales data from that era show this clearly. I have posted a direct link on this website many times, and I'm done. You can find it and read it yourself. If you still want to argue against factual sales, I am not going to engage because I have better things to do. lol

The SNES had a much weaker processor which caused sports titles and action games to lag, and slow down (both of which were the most popular in the US). This is part of the reason sports titles sold so much better on Genesis and why Genesis was the go to for those games back then.
