I doubt it very hard but it is still possible.

The Halo 5 bundle wasn't doing very much before this month, either. I think it was only mid-late last month it even entered the Top 100. I remember looking a month before that and it was in the 1,000s. |
It entered the top 100 the last day of September.

Less than a year ago it was still all about the holiday season, pre-season doesn't count etc. But it does seem MS has conceded to 2nd place in the US since Phil Spencer has been dismissing the console war for a while now. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-10-09-spencer-xbox-one-team-focused-on-regaining-fan-trust-not-beating-ps4
So yeah, they're not worried about beating Sony anymore and are doing just as you suggest. I'm sure they'll still put some PR stuff out if they do edge out a win in the xbox family or windows 10 family maybe lol.
Anyway there's still some semblance of a sales site in vgchartz, so yes october is still important if we want to argue about something :)
Price cut > Halo 5, imo.
PS4 wins this month by a tiny bit.
Halo launching so late in the month doesnt help it any, winning this month.

Google lied to me, also apparently preorders count in NPD

I don't see it at all. Sony winning every region this holiday if MS don't cut price. An Uncharted bundle + $349 price cut for three weeks will be trumped by one week of H5 at $400? Are we talking about the PS4 that has won 95% of NPD's? Good to see that optimism though lol.
It is going to come down to how many PS4 bundles are within the top 20 before the Halo 5 Guardians Bundle drops. Should Sony have enough at that position, then Sony should win by 2K. Otherwise, it is Microsoft's month to rule.
