Just bought an Xbox One Elite controller from Gamestop. Apparently the whole first shipment is almost spoken for. Amazon sold out a while ago.

This is pretty dumb. Sony must've been planning the price cut for months. How could they have not provided sufficient stock? Or would it be the fault of the retailers?
Also, is it only amazon that is out stock? Or are walmart and gamestop out also?

They are basically phased out, they won't be coming back. Sony probably wants to push as many NDC as possible because of U4. TLOU and TTK already did their job.

It's probably a combination of these bundles selling faster than Sony expected and the Nathan Drake bundle not selling as fast as they expected.
The PS5 Exists.

Amazon is such a small percentage that them being out of stock won't do much especially since the nd bundle is ahead of xboxhalo.

Amazon always gets it right. The Nathan Drake Bundle is currently behind the Halo bundle on the monthlies and the bundle that leads is the TLOUR bundle.

How do the 3rd party bundle deals work? I imagine Sony sign a deal with Activision and write out a cheque to allow for a certain amount of bundles to be made. Once those bundles are gone, that's it.
With the TLOU bundle, I think Sony want to phase it out and replace it with the NDC bundle. What Sony probably didn't expect it the TLOU bundle to be way more popular that the NDC bundle.
Unchated bundle has retaken the lead over Halo bundle on Best Buy after just two days:

Gamestop, which is very slow to update show the Uncharted bundle on top as well but we have to wait a few days to see how that turns out:

I am still expecting a final bump for the Halo Bundle as we get closer to next Tuesday... by this weekend.

I'm not sure about that. The TLOUR bundle has been around for a very long time, with no end date suggested. I think the onlyh reason they could do that bundle is because of how well the game did. They made their money and promoting the franchise was worth any losses from that point on. I don't think the Nathan Drake collection has done nearly enough numbers to warrant the same appoach.

We will have to wait and see. I have my doubts about whether these bundles are going to come back in stock at all, at least on Amazon. If that means Sony are concentrating on making more Star Wars and Cod bundles, then that is the better strategy imo. Looking forward to seeing how those two SE bundles do next month, I hope Sony has plenty of stock for the Star Wars one especially. That is a bundle that can remain strong throughout December as well if they produce the stock for it.
Also, Fallout continues to impress on the charts. Comfortably outselling another huge franchise in Assassin's Creed, despite that game's release being less than 24 hours away. Expect to see the X1 Fallout bundle in the top 100 very soon.
