The stock issue is something happening only on Amazon, right?
Again, they might want to push CoD and SW, November will be huge.

I also like the idea of throwing TLOU with the NDC bundle, and call it the ND bundle (this time ND meaning Naughty Dog... They think I didn't see were Nathan Drake (ND) came from...).

fallout will be huge.

I think that's going to cost Sony the month.

Dude you give Amazon too much importance. It's in stock at plenty of other places-

I understand we use Amazon as a gauge and it's been correct, but you can't use it to 100% gauge something as fact when other retailers don't match up with it. Retailers that have a bigger data for NPD.

Also as you can see the Ucharted bundle is taking it's place for sales. Even at BB it's number 1 on their charts. Took back over the Halo bundle just after 2 days. Amazon is fun to use but it's not the whole story.

so... considering amazon data and these other retailers can we conclude that right now it seems like the ps4 have the lead?

3 hours since last update:

#12 PS4 Nathan Drake Bundle (up 1)*
#16 XB1 Halo Bundle (same)*
#30 PS4 Star Wars Bundle (same)
#44 PS4 Black Ops Bundle (down 2)
#72 XB1 Gears Bundle (down 1)*
#77 PS4 Star Wars Standard Bundle (down 3)
#82 PS4 Destiny Bundle (up 8)*
#86 PS4 TLOUR Bundle (down 2)*
#90 XB1 Forza Bundle (up 3)*
#98 N3DS (up 2)*

*Affects this month

PS4 - 6 bundles, 6 in the top 100
XB1 - 9 bundles, 3 in the top 100

The PS5 Exists.

From what i've been looking at over the course of this month......Yes. Barring a sales boost for XB1 next week. Either way it will be close i think.

This is true. Somebody said (maybe in this thread) that Amazon only accounts for 5% of console sales. Not sure if true but sounds reasonable.

Just bought an Xbox One Elite controller from Gamestop. Apparently the whole first shipment is almost spoken for. Amazon sold out a while ago.

How much of a learning curve is it moving to the Elite trigger configuration? Not that I'm ever likely to buy a Scuf controller for PS4 or anything, just curious.

It doesn't release until the 27th so I don't know yet. But by trigger configuration do you mean the hair trigger settings?

It's a small percentage but using Amazon we can guess that general trends are the same across retailers. And it usually is since Amazon has had a perfect track record for predicting NPD wins. As long as there aren't deals going on at other retailers making people buy everywhere else except Amazon, therefore making the rankings inaccurate. But when it comes to stock issues at Amazon it doesn't make any sense to think it's going to change anything for NPD unless the low stock is a nationwide thing.

Basically it really depends on what's happening at other retailers before taking Amazon into full account for NPD. At least that's the way i do it.

We will have to wait and see. I have my doubts about whether these bundles are going to come back in stock at all, at least on Amazon. If that means Sony are concentrating on making more Star Wars and Cod bundles, then that is the better strategy imo. Looking forward to seeing how those two SE bundles do next month, I hope Sony has plenty of stock for the Star Wars one especially. That is a bundle that can remain strong throughout December as well if they produce the stock for it.

Also, Fallout continues to impress on the charts. Comfortably outselling another huge franchise in Assassin's Creed, despite that game's release being less than 24 hours away. Expect to see the X1 Fallout bundle in the top 100 very soon.

Firstly, a corporation is an individual entity, therefore the correct phrasing is "Sony is", but I am often guilty of writing "are" and having to go back and correct it, or not even realising I wrote "are".

Secondly, from a manufacturing perspective I don't think it's an either/or situation. TLOUR is just a different cardboard box as it's a plain black console, so I don't think there is a need to change manufacturing focus as Sony is probably producing plenty of plain black units, given they are being sold through the NDC. If anything Sony's changing the focus for where it puts the plain black units onto the ND collection. Sure, each of the main sku's now need to have cardboard box manufacturing time allocated, but I would think it's less of a problem to pump out cardboard boxes than to pump out consoles.
