Besides myself and Tachi who buy every console regardless, I think it's safe to say a large portion of the xbox ones sold here have been sold to US/Foreign troops stationed here, I freqeunt game stores often and the only time I see people near the Xbox One games is when it's military folk or their wives/kids.

They could litterally drop the price of the console with kinect, to $100 here, and make every game 1,500 yen a pop and people here wouldn't bite, instead you would just see sales increase a little from US/Foreign sites picking up japanese unites to sell at a higher pricetag elsewhere in the world.

Heres the real kicker, i have friends here who i play destiny with (ps4) one of them visited last week, pointed at my xbox one and asked "is that a steam box?"

You know you're failing in a country when gamers there mistake your console for a freaking steambox.
