Forums - Nintendo - Crazy japanese Splatoon players....

I was playing Splatoon a few hours ago, about eleven p.m. (Brazil time, something like 9 p.m. in Los Angeles). At that time of the night, there´s a lot of japanese players on battles.

But today a very very strange trend started: they simply stopped fighting to win the matches.

Instead, they just kept pressing the "c´mon" command (D-pad Up), then gathering all players in a given spot in the map, then everybody started to press the L button like crazy to keep the inklings in squid form or  they pressed the x button repeatdly to keep inklings jumping together.

That happened most of the time in the Moray Towers map, sub sometimes in the Skatepark map also. They just choosed a spot and began like a small party.

I was like.... "what the heck they´re doing?" Does anyone knows what was that about? I tried to get a glimpse on video. It doesn´t seem much but even more crazier things were happening.

Probably just younger kids doing something funny, I would guess. The game is a popular topic in schools, so it's likely they organized it together.

Can't people go online in groups now in Splatoon since the big August update or whatever? If so, sometimes groups of people like to screw around. In the CoD Black Ops 3 PS4 beta, I had one match where the other team ended up literally a single point away from victory while my team was still around 25 down. We won. How? The other team just sort of stopped trying, at all. I thought maybe they were just screwing with us and were going to nab the win while we were a few kills away. Nope. They just kept jumping around while doing effectively nothing.

The term you are looking for is called "squid bagging" basically tea bagging but in Splatoon. In my opinion when it happens it is hilarious as fuck XD

I don't know anything about Splatoon but are there rankings that can be manipulated somehow? Sounds kind of like win trading, which you see in a lot of multi-player games.

Hope this happens next time I play.

Probably just kids having fun. Looks pretty funny and weird.

Squid parties, me and some of my friends would get together and do it, all for the lolz! Never in ranked of course.

What the heck.. I've never seen that happen!
