So I came up with this question in a very desperate 12 seconds and I'm raking in the replies
Y'all sound like you went through some hard times. Hardest time I went through is when the store only had Diet Coke

Are you a Coke Zero fanboy?

I'm thinking of changing the thread title to "What is the longest you have gone without fingerblasting the Red Ring".

Some people's posts will look mighty suspicious........ muahahahaha

Shhh... Talking about XBOX 360 is getting off-topic.

Sometime when I was in school, I think I spend almost one year without playing for real.

I think I was 12 or 13 years old...

Months. It never lasts too long though.

What's the story behind that?

Not fun. Basically started with my parent's irrational conclusions of video games. Me and my siblings were punished for a year because my brother's friend got into a fight at school.  Obviously he learned that type of violence from our DK64, which made sense because we weren't allowed to have friends over. Eventually that year passed but our N64 broke, so we waited to buy a GameCube. I personally didn't play for another year because I was punished for my grade slip from an A to a B- average because I messed up a a huge science project, so I dedicated the school year and most of the next to nothing but grades.

Wow, sounds like your parents were pretty hard on you guys. I can't believe they blamed the fight on Donkey Kong lol. I mean, blaming any games for fighting is ridiculous but a game like Donkey Kong 64? I owned that game, it was purely "E" for everyone in every since of the meaning lol.

yeah lol. Their attitude only got worse, but we ended up figuring out work arounds. It's a sour memory, but I think its made me want to be more appreciative of video games among other things. If I ever have kids and they like video games, I'm gonn make sure they are playing some quality ones with some quality time
