Sure you can, Stallone did it.  Like it or not, the new Rambo was actually pretty warmly received and there's certainly some evidence to suggest that one of Stallone's lines in the movie became a rallying cry for some in Myanmar, to effect change.  Like them or not, the Expendables movies entertained some.  Did they set the charts on fire?  No.  But, that's Stallone and the studios problem.  He wanted to make them, and he did.  The system works.

the new rambo was good, but he had alot less direct violence than the others. (the violence is used  way better, its more like a real war movie in alot of parts and not like a 80s action movie, and i like it) and the expendables were modern action movies.

do you realy think they could get away with something like

today?

I would say the newer Rambo was without a doubt, far, far more bloody, than the older Rambos.  You can't even begin to argue that point.  Torture, implied rape of multiple women, murdering children...I mean, yeah it was pretty blatantly violent.  Punisher Warzone (directed by a woman, btw), was also this way.  Made the original Lundgren Punisher, look like a family flick.

Yeah, I think they could quite easily get away with it.

Again, let me emphasize, I don't just want movies like this.  I want a wide variety, just like I do in gaming, literature etc...  what I do not want, and will refuse to ever support is the idea we can just go ahead and censor what people create.  That's what reviews/previews are for.  To know whether we'll like something, then it's up to us to buy it.

^This.

Same with horror movies back in the day like Friday the 13th.  Modern horror movies look like softcore porn in comparison.

Well, he is objectively correct. He is also statino the obvious.

But it is nonetheless good that he is saying it.

- Nolan North who voices lots of characters in videogames but is better known for voicing Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series said in an exclusive interview for Mirror Online the following about videogames being sexist:

"For a long time, games were just, you could call it, sexist," said the father-of-two.

"It was just business, because what happens when teenage boys are your main audience?"

"You design big, badass superheroes and women with big boobs and bikinis."

- But he thinks that videogames will get better with time as he said:

"Gamers used to be kids, stoned in the basement with their earbuds in, jamming out to rock music and playing video games,"

"But as players get older, they are expecting better material."

He pointed to the redesign of Tomb Raider star Lara Croft as evidence sexism is "getting better".

Many video games are indeed sexist in some way and he's right that it is generally becoming less of an issue but that does not mean he gets to talk down to the people who buy them. Why must Social Justice nonsense always be accompanied by over generalizations and smug condescension?

""You design big, badass superheroes and women with big boobs and bikinis.""

yeah but women aren't perpetuating the very same "problem" when they intentionally walk around in skimpy outfits?

the funny thing to me is that as women get more and more sexually expressive the calls for ending sexism also increase

oh i deserve to be able to walk around half naked! ( and i have no problem with this ) but that half naked chick in the video game has to go!

as for men being big bad heroes, well looking back at history the action heroes generally have been men because men are naturally physically more powerful... that's reality

He has a point, video games are sexist against males, they are marketed like young males are all retarded idiots that like big muscles and boobs.
is main role, nathan drake is all that, a not realy clever male power fantasy.
there is nothing clever about having a more stupid indiana jones with less charisma and less uberhot nazi women affairs.

Teehee

Well done, well done.

OT: Sexism is now a boring topic. Well, it was always, anyway.

That was a joke on the play of the last name "North."  Let's just leave it at that and go no further.
