Honestly it should be scored even lower. There's really no reason to get this over New Leaf itself.

It already has.

That said, these scores aren't surprising for what is, effectively, a mini-game expanded for the fans of said mini-game.

and yet it destroyed Fire Emblem Fates LT in first week.

I expected this. The concept didn't scream that it was good.

I'm not sure if that was your intention or not, but that last part made me chuckle

Meh... no one is more of an Animal Crossing fan than me but, I have given up on a good new console version. I think I'll just start over on my Gamecube original AC and play that until the end of time.

Imo the people who wants this game because of the franchise or saw the trailer and liked the desin aspect of it wont have an effect with the meta score. Since the target audience for this are the casual gamers and the AC fans

I think that Nintendo expects that people who bought New Leaf will buy this one as well. It's just an excuse to sell amiibo cards. 

Like most nintendo stuff but have zero interest in this.
