People last generation were complaining how Ace Combat was not so good as it was before same with Tekken/Final Fantasy/Silent Hill/Resident Evil/Star Ocean/dragon Quest (how dare they make it an handheld and make an online version) etc...

Secondly people on the internet care the most about Japanese games and I love some of them but the general consumer doesn't care:

The top 25 games sold on PS4 and not one made in Japan.  MGSV will probably make the list for some time but overall I will not be surprised to see at the end of this gen that 90% of the top 25 sold games will be not made in Japan...

The whole japanese games don't matter thing can be seen in a lot of places from Xbox fans, the funny thing is that when they get some for once you get things like this:

570 upvotes on r/xboxone for 2 JRPGs that are as niche as they come, that's what I call hypocrisy.

There's a lot of crap coming from Japan, but they still also make good stuff, at this TGS for instance a lot of promising japanese games were announced/shown.

Actually the developper is based in switzerland and the publisher in France, so nothing german there.

OT : AA is in crises since the indies' rise and Japan's video game industry crisis was strangely happening at the same time as their economic crisis. Right now they look in a much better shape. 

Anyway I think people mostly say shit about japanese games now because before PS360 era only the best japanese games would be localized, internet was not as much there so that people could now everything that's released and not only what's in their local shop or worth mentionning in a magazine when paper is expensive and godzilla is really cheap.

Why do I even bother though, not like your post has anything worth discussing. Boils down to "LOL NOW THEY DONT CARE ABOUT JAPANESE GAMES". Which of course is just a generalizing statement. OP fostered that environment so I don't blame you.

I never said niche is bad.

I was responding to OP who stated that XBox fans called those games niche. 

The fact is that most Japanese games are niche in the west, with few exceptions. Another fact is that many Japanese games coming over are subpar in quality, again with some exceptions.

So most games are niche and many games are bad, but niche =/= bad automatically.
