If so what a stupid idea. Having played KH1.5 on ps3 (for the first time playing a KH game) and then selling my ps3 for a Ps4, I had high hopes they'd release a package to include the original games for ps4. 

 

Very sad. 

The naming is the part that doesn't make sense but as a game this is great for KH fans because you get DDS on PS4 and part 2 of Birth By Sleep

Including KH 1 and 2 would already be to much, plus they've already been remastered on PS3, heavy criticism about people complaining about re releases is a result since they would just re release 2.5 and 1.5 for PS4.

They desperately need to release the KH and KH2 remasters on PS4. And Vita too please. This is arguably the worst in the series. Although the flow motion thing is cool.

DDS is top tier gameplay wise even if the story is weak (but its a spin off so thats acceptable), plus it recaps all the other previous games. Its much better than COM, Coded, and 358/2.

Surely it's a perfectly logical choice given their previous decision to move away from PS2 to both DS and PSP then onto 3DS with their releases? Going to PS3 for the re-releases then PS4 for the handheld titles suddenly makes perfect sense IMO :D

I didn't really see it as a spinoff. Both BBS and DDD (they sound like bra sizes for Total Recall aliens) were pretty high in production values and part of the same "canon" so I just saw them as mainline entries in the series.

sounds and looks like back cover is some sort of 3d movie retelling of KH X

Even if the story is weak, KH3D is an main game(Not a numbered title like BBS, which is KH0, KH1, and 2), as stated by Tetsuya Nomura. It's KH3 Part 1, and the "3" in 3D references KH3 because it leads into it. It was made very quickly and doesnt move the plot enough to be considered an numbered title.

I'm kinda starting to wonder if SE will just cancel the Xbox version of KH3 at this point as it makes to no sense to port such a big game to a fan base that will have no prior entries in the series.

With the way ps4 is selling, plus the price cut for japan in a few weeks, it almosts seems like they could make up whatever small number of sales the Xbox version would have possibly brung them.


Plus it would allow them to make one full version and put their best effort into it.

I'm no expert, it just seems silly to me on SE's part to keep the older games from Xbox.
