https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywZE-NEJ2Ik

- debuts November 20

- premise of the story revolves around Jessica Jones (Jewel), a girl who lost her parents and went into coma after a trip to Disney tragically ended into a car accident with a military convoy carrying chemicals that gave her superpowers (super strength and flying ability). She sees her classmate Spider-Man and Sandman fighting each other and decides to become Jewel and fight crime. She then loses her powers and works as a private detective.

- Netflix is referring to the show as a "psychological thriller", the original comics are for mature audiences, featuring swearing and sex scenes. Jones character is sarcastic.

- main character will be portrayed by Krysten Ritter, of Breaking Bad fame:

- the series was developed by Melissa Rosenberg (previously a writer on The O.C., head writer for Dexter, Step Up and the Twilight series)

- series are part of Netflix's "Defender" series, Daredevil, released in the spring, was just the first in a series of Netflix shows about a group of heroes called “The Defenders,” a sort of on-the-street, gritty version of the Avengers.

The premise reminds me of Sony's Powers with the main character losing his power and working as detective and stuff.

Are you interested? Will you give the series a chance?

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

REQUIESCAT IN PACE

I Hate REMASTERS

I Hate PLAYSTATION PLUS

Huge fan of her. Her character in "Don't Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23" is my all time favourite in a comedy. Can't wait!

Marvel new modern era of comics is really coming through well to film and TV isn't it? Here I am wanting a movie adoption of Secret Wars and to see Quasar.

Hmm, pie.

Around the Network

I enjoy that Netflix is exploring the more serious side of Marvel. It's a good counter to the feel good, lighthearted nature of most of their films. I still think that a lot of people are on the right track with wanting Netflix to do a Punisher series, but shining a light on some lesser known heroes with potential is pretty good too.

I like the premise of the show, not sure about the casting choice. Will give it a watch though, I like that Marvel is really giving lesser known characters a chance.

Its been announced for a while. Along with Daredevil season 2, Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

It's like jlmurph2 says: It's been announced for a while.

Anyways, I've been interested in all of Marvel's announced Netflix series ever since seeing how well Daredevil was executed. I really do like the contrast in tone between Marvel's films and series. It's a nice change of pace especially since I'm more into the dark, gritty comic stories.
