Apparently it's some sort of Japanese illegal street racing game with drama elements...

It's being developed by Sega with a scheduled release date for Summer 2008.

god I hate the franchise. lol

but it will sell alright in Japan, I suppose. One place where PS3 really needs to pick up

Initial D = the best car anime/manga ever and one of the best anime/mangas of all times ... the games were rather disappointing up until now I heard, hopefully this one will live up to the superb reputation of anime and manga

Maybe they make it with the new canvas engine they use in Sennjo no Valkyrie. I think that might give it a good anime-like touch.

if you want an awesome racing game, check out Burnout on PSP... and Ridge racer.. I think that's about it. (not counting futuristic ones like Wipeout)

Hehe I've seen "move" live on a convention here in germany last year ;) one of the best concerts in my life - can't decide wether that one or the one of Yuki Kajiura was better :p .

Loved the series, but I hear the games are mediocre.
I'll keep tracking this title though, maybe it'll be fun?
