mario dominantion.

Are these official numbers or VGC? Because I feel like VGC is missing some random smaller games that might add up for, say, Mario.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

Good thread. Where did you get these numbers?

Nintendo has a very impressive 1st party catalogue, my goodness.

But yeah, where are these numbers from?

I think mario kart deserves his own spot.

I know, while outdated, that the Wikipedia entry for game series sales splits Mario up into its subfranchises, so that can satiate you until OP delivers if you'd like. But I do agree, if Smash is being separated from Mario then so should the Karts and the Parties and the Sports

Here is my top ten list of Nintendo franchises.

1.) Mario
2.) Zelda
3.) Animal Crossing
4.) Metroid
5.) DKC
6.) Mario Kart
7.) Pikmin
8.) F-Zero
9.) Kid Icarus (NES only)
10.) Splatoon

I dunno about the Mario Sport games. Mario Kart and Mario Party have become distinct and mainstream enough and with enough sales to be recognizable franchises on thier own. The others, not really.

Surprising Zelda hasnt passed 100 million yet

Metroid should be above Star Fox,.

Edit: the games at the end are not in order
