I won't buy a console in the next 4-5 years, I already own every console I want.

Type 0 wasn't on any popular radar but sold something like 80% on the PS4. Microsoft in Square's back pocket? Sure, that's why SE announced that they might port DQXI on the future unreleased NX before even mentioning the Xbox One... And strangely, FF7 is closer to DQ than TR in term of audience. Don't you think that the "first on Playstation" could mean PS4 and NX? Or, even easier, PS4 and PC right now, and we'll see about the others later without killing the possibility? And if in 2017-2018 it's useless to release the game on another platform (and it will be IMO), it's fine because nobody mentioned it.
I don't understand what you're talking about when you say that MS has better deals with SE. Hitman has PS exclusive content, FF14 is PS/PC, Dragon Quest is PS/Nintendo, Star Ocean PS, Nier 2 PS4, Saga PS too no? The "better deals" you're talking about is just Tomb Raider money hatted timed exclusivity, and that thing really backfired (oh, Just Cause marketing too?). SE has no reason to give MS deals... But, on the other hand, they said that they want to work with Playstation to help the home consoles market in Japan...
I'm still not saying that FF7R won't be on Xbox One, but it's a possibility because it will surely be useless to do this port and nothing (except another big check from MS) is pushing SE to do it, unlike the TR situation. |
this. Also you can expect ff7 remake to sell much less than the ps4 version compare to releasing the game at the same time which I am sure its also on square consideration.

That is a stupid chart lol

You mind trying that again without the insults? Like maybe an actual rebuttal with some substance to it? If people mainly play third-party games, then I'd suggest the PS4. I simply find it to be the better system overall. The XBO is adequate for third-party games, but I just don't find the system to be all that user-friendly, and it has a slow, clunky, cluttered UI. I personally wouldn't recommend an XBO unless someone really, really likes Halo and other major Xbox exclusive IPs. The chart just illustrates my stance in fewer words. |
No, it's stupid. It reads there is only 2 reasons to own a xbox.
lol @ PS4 having more indies than Wii U. There might be a lot on PS4, but the eshop is loaded with junk.

true but you also have to understand that xb1 isn't xb360 where it had a good marketshare almost everywhere thus investing in japanese games on xb360 made more sense back then that it's now. "play it first on ps4" can mean a lot of things that it shouldn't be use as a 100% confirmation (DQX1 ring a bell?, the game is coming to ps4 with NX in mind). Thing is ps4 is killing xb1 everywhere except US, so if FF15 and KH3 flopped hard on xb1 because that american audiencie didn't pick it up, you can expect ff7 remake exclusive for the single reason of making sense than anything else. japanese games on xb1 are still unproven as the only games that we have is FF type 0 and even though it's not a mainline game, it might give an indication that japanese fans aren't on the console, hence why some might think FF15 and KH3 might be the real indicator. |
Maybe ff7 for wii u?

Not sure what you're trying to say, are you saying the Nintendo eshop is full of bad games? Because the message you're trying to put is very confusing, you start out like you're going to say the PS4 actually is filled with "junk".

"There is only one race, the pathetic begging race"

If marketshare was the issue the game wouldn't be multiplat. Tomb Raider is still exclusive for a year. By thr time it hits playstation, barely anyone will want to play it late on thr ps4 because the holiday hype for the one will be quite large in the states. xbox one is still a threat to the ps4 in the states even though it's losing in the world. Microsoft doesn't need to win the world but they cannot lose the states. As for FFVII, it's coming after the pS4 exclusivity ends. I'm playing it on ps4 anyway just like I am playing tomb raider on the one. You can't get screwed by either company in their timed exclusive war if you own both consoles.
The one has fourth quarter on lock though. Backwards compatibility, revamped 60fps gears of War with halo and Tomb Raider? Sony had most of the year but they've certainly lost fourth quarter. MS has lost three quarters worth of battles. It wouldn't hurt to win one.

Who knows although I think NX has a better chance.
