You say that as if Turn 10 made Horizon 2. Playground Games did the bulk of the development, while Turn 10 only acted as an overseer. That would give Motorsport 6 that extra year of development.

To be fair, Horizon games build on the work of Turn 10. Im sure Turn 10 has more involvment in development than they are given credit for.

Nah it's Sony, MS and almost every other company on the planet who wants money. Yet sometimes they want it a bit too much like Harry potter 7 part 1/part 2 much. I zm not saying Forza is at that point already but if they release another Horizon next year it's starting to look like overmilking.

The Forza sim games and Horizon are different experiences handled primarily by different teams. 

Each release gets maybe a couple years of development time.

Forza 5 is the only one we can point at for being rushed out to meet launch and frankly is was still one of the best launch games of the 8th gen.

The big difference between DC and Forza 6 is that DC weather effect are dynamic and for Forza weather is prebacked.
In term of power nescessary it's a huge difference and that's why DC (which is the first attempt of Evolution in regards of the second opus of Forza for Turn 10) is in 30 fps.

Forza 6 is 60fps. This is very necessary to make a racing game feel smooth. Drive club is 30fps that relies on graphics thus the reason it got crappy review scores.
