I never DIDN'T like it. My favorite games are all 8-bit. I'm always concerned with gameplay and story/music before graphics.

Fun!? It looks fun like any other Star Fox game.
It certanly not best looking Wii U games, but saying "how ugly the game is" is an vast exaggeration.

true. but on a creative standpoint, if they really wanted to make Star Fox a big IP and properly launch it. several posters have posted graphics/creative designs on bayonetta, mario galaxy, etc. it can surely be done in Star Fox, try to be more creative and push the wii u hardware to the limit and make your audience, 'wow' on your games. if most people would like it and it is near the star wars battlefront genre, i'm sure 3rd party would consider it since they know a star fox game can handle certain graphics and similar to their genre and targeted audience. note: hopefully framerates are good, no need for the 60fps, if 40 fps is attainable and playable, then it is already a great game. no need to be exactly a 60 fps but very dull environment.
not hating the current star fox game, but i'm just stating that Nintendo can really make that IP way bigger and better than a reboot/reharsh or whatever they wanted it to be called.

true. not to call it an ugly game, but Nintendo should push their standards more to the Wii U creatively which they need to 'wow' the audience. they have initially teased it E3 2014 background video then E3 2015 they opt to have a minimal budget into the game. not a big AAA type of budget, but they need to push other IPs into the lime light beside Mario, MK, Smash and now Splatoon. Star Fox is cartoony but it can really target older audiences with this game due to tanks, spaceships, etc. than a Kirby, Yoshi won't have.

The fact is that:
1-People were raging cuz Federation Force so for a few weeks it was all about Nintendo=S**t;
2-To make it even worse Nintendo showcased a lower graphic gameplay at the Digital Event than the one that was showcased at the Nintendo TreeHouse, that is the same you see in that picture

The memory of Star Fox was tainted by the anti Nintendo sentiment at E3. Time away from E3 and a different perspective really changes how one would view the game.

I think Star Fox could look better if game doesnt run on two screens in same time in 60Fps. But Nintendo clearly wants very unique and different experience with this game instead of great graphics.
People who says it looks like a N64-game do not remember how N64-games looked
Looks fine. Not their best looking game by a long shot but it's acceptable, as long as the gameplay's good.
