They updated Shadow Complex (my favorite downloadable title from last gen) after putting it out for preview members and it seems to run even better now than it did on 360. I haven't played it, but apparently textures load in almost instantly in Mass Effect but take awhile on 360. So the games can run better via BC.

Those improvements are nice but minimal compared to the massive jump from composite outputs to HDMI outputs. For me it was night and day playing those PS2 games on PS3.

Not so much for me as I was playing ps2 with component cables for years already, the last few years on an HD ready tv with plenty games supporting 480p. I was actually a bit disappointed with BC while trying out GT4's 1080i mode on ps3 BC with HDMI.

Wii games look marginally sharper on WiiU, yet only because it shrinks the image a bit instead of the overscan I get with component cables from the Wii. Going back to composite cables on an old tv is quite a shock though.

The real night and day difference is between SotC on ps3 BC vs HD collection on ps3. BC is nice to have, unlocking the game's full potential is even better.

Yeh I was comparing it to composite lol. I haven't compared my PS2 with my component cables just yet. Chances are it will look a hell of alot better than straight composite.

Comparing PS3 BC to a full remaster is a bit unfair :P

The question will not be if BC is a great or only nice feature, the question is how you could use BC to sell more new games. BC gives Microsoft the possibility to bundle old 360 games (digital copy) with each multiplatform or exclusive game launched on Xbone, and give more value to their games.

If SFV Alpha comes to Xbone eventually, would you consider buy it if they give you SFIV (or even older digital games of the 360 store)? Thet's the real point here.

IIRC Fallout 4 gives you 3, and the new Ghost Recon gives you both GRAW games from last gen. And of course, UE of Gears gives you the entire digital series. There is real potential there. I might be forgetting some.

I hope QB comes with Alan Wake and Crackdown 3 includes the first one.

if you have owned all sony platform and have a limited space... you can just have a ps2 and a ps4 connected to your tv to play all their games.... that feature is something a lot of people would want...

but displaying all console is a sweeter game room

The only thing I wish for is that old gen games are still sold on the Marketplace. I would happily buy and download games from 3 generation of Xbox. Crazy Taxi 3, Alan Wake and Sunset Overdrive all on the same Marketplace would be glorious imo. Having access to older games on one console should be the goal.

It may still happen. Maybe not the original 2001 Xbox games but I'm sure there will be a 360 marketplace.  There has to be!

If you don't own the previous gen console, it's a pretty awesome addition. I didn't own a Wii when I bought a Wii U. Games like Mario Galaxy, Skyward Sword and Xenoblade have been some of the best experiences I've had on it.

It's a nice feature which I always welcome (unless it runs poorly). As much as I'd love to show off my console collection, my current living space currently doesn't permit such a thing. So more space under the TV, the better.

Over hyped and overrated.Notie the sales have not improved since the announcement.

I believe that it isn't that big of a deal, but that's just me. If the rest of the gaming community thinks it's a big deal, then I guess it is.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.
