Sephiroth is overrated and not even the villain of FFVII... he is just a crybaby son looking for attention... he didn't even do bad things.

You mean someone who has sister problem vs someone who has a mother problem? Don't worry this will top up with someone having a father issue!

By the way Tales of Symphonia was my favorite JRPG of the gamecube generation. 

(Also Mithos was also pissed for other reason, which actually were valid reasons, I really did make his reasoning simple, i feel dirty now...given Sephiroth is really what he is a Mama's boy.)

Now I get behind this, Shinra and the Turks were the better villians.

I agree though... Sephiroth is not bad but there are plenty of better villains, Kekfa being one. I personally prefer Jecht, well if you can call him a villain. We will see how this game doesn in that regard

Kefka generic chaotic evil. His only real accomplishment was successfully ruling the world.

Sephiroth was less generic in that he had a goal that wasn't necessarily "kill all life", but require him to do so. If there would have been a way to achieve his goals with less effort and less death, he would have chosen that. That being said, he was boring and had absolutely no personality. The story made him so much of an enigma that he stopped being a character and became a plot device.

Honestly, there's a lot of villains I put on higher pedestals than both of them. Kessler from inFAMOUS, Master Xehanort from Kingdom Hearts, Janus Cascade from Wild ARMs 3...

Take off the nostalgia goggles and give new a chance.

Look at you guys huddling together against Sephiroth, what more proof is needed on how great a villain he is when you guys antagonize him way and beyond, while doing public relations for Kefka for everyone to like him. He has you all swords and shields up in a crusade to try and bring him down.
