Well, at least it will move some hardware, nothing compare if it actually was a Youkai Watch proper game, but...

I think a big issue for the game is whether parents are going to care to buy their kids a wiiu to have the game. I think the answer is mostly no, especially in light of the upcoming tax increase. if kids want to dance to the song they have hundreds of ways to do so already. Give your kid an ipad, let them watch the dance and you are done. |
Or if parents even want their kids dancing to that annoying song day-in and day-out. :D
Is Fire Emblem coming out this year in Japan?
If not they need another holiday title besides Star Fox, this would be a welcome addition.
This is more fabulous than that Star Wars Kinect dance minigame

Absolutely. Level-5 is really taking Yokai above and beyond, perhaps way too quickly. Consumers might feel fatigue sooner or later if they aren't careful, but considering YW3 isn't happening this year, I guess all the spinoffs can slide. It is pretty creative. Kinda reminds me of P4DAN (hey, another series with an impressive number of spinoffs). And at least this kind of makes sense considering the popularity of the Yokai dance. |
They're all about the cash-in and drop. It's kinda sad, but that's how Level 5 is. They'll wring out all they can from an IP and then just drop it when it's no longer profitable. I imagine Yokai Watch will die in 2-3 years. Only reason it's kept up like this is the anime popularity. Takes a lot for a kids show to surpass Pokemon.
This is Just Dance! Anyway, it will be interesting to see how this game performs.
