Absolutely. Level-5 is really taking Yokai above and beyond, perhaps way too quickly. Consumers might feel fatigue sooner or later if they aren't careful, but considering YW3 isn't happening this year, I guess all the spinoffs can slide. It is pretty creative. Kinda reminds me of P4DAN (hey, another series with an impressive number of spinoffs). And at least this kind of makes sense considering the popularity of the Yokai dance. |
They're all about the cash-in and drop. It's kinda sad, but that's how Level 5 is. They'll wring out all they can from an IP and then just drop it when it's no longer profitable. I imagine Yokai Watch will die in 2-3 years. Only reason it's kept up like this is the anime popularity. Takes a lot for a kids show to surpass Pokemon.
