I seriously can't understand why people are acting like there is a singular GOTG for everyone.

Newsflash: there isn't. It is purely subjective. Every single generation will be different for everyone, and to think otherwise is foolish. Some people think Splatoon is GOTG, for others it's Bloodborne or Rocket League or Bayonetta 2 or Ori and the Blind Forest. Trying to downplay any of these games is extremely childish. And no, this isn't just to the people trying to trash Splatoon but also the people downplaying all the other games mentioned in this thread. Just stop.

Yeah I'll add that the new weapons also change the dynamic of matches as I was surprised how effective the Slosher weapons were.

It's their artstyle, Nintendo have a look, Splatoon isn't unique artstyle, it's Nintendo that has a unique artstyle. 
You can't say it's unique then say it's more like a Sega game xD

I meant that Ratchet an Clank has incredibly unique weapons throughout the entire franchise. Not that they had weapons similar to Splatoon, I should've made that more clear.

Almost all peole who have the opinion "splatoon cant be goty/gotg" dont even own a wii u nor played the game. Its ridicolous to rate a game you never played.

95% of wii u/splatoon owners on the other hand do agree with op.

I dont even know why people are commenting here if they dont own the game/never played it. Thats ridiclous. They just want to downplay the game because they cant play it and they cant "accept" to miss out an amazing game/probl one of the best games this gen.

I dont have a xbox one, so i would never comment on a theard "Halo 5 is my game of the gen" and say "nah its not".

I have no xbox one. I didnt played Ryse:Son of Rome. So i would never tell people the game is bad. Doing this is ridiculous

People join threads based on titles, not based on the content of the first post.  Nothing in the title says "only come in if you play splatoon"
