This wouldn't even by my game of the Wii-U...

Hell no .... and yes I have played over 10 hours of Splatoon. I played it a my nephews house after completing the single player and playing online passing the remote back and forth after each match. My only question to Nintendo is why the hell is this a full retail price game? My nephew really liked Splatoon but if you ask him Plants vs Zombie Garden warfare is much better then Splatoon.

For the record shooters were meant to be played with Voice chat.... again Nintendo missed the boat. Sure you can simply skype like I do from my Ipad to play Nintendo's online game with friends but would of been nice if the features was given to us by Nintendo.

I wont be buying Splatoon any time soon unless I can get it for a really good price. 

It already is a popular franchise and sequels will sell well. All i'm saying that there is probably such a huge barrage of great games coming this gen, that by the time people are making their list of top games at the end, Splatoon won't come to mind with many of them.

it feels realy fresh. for me its is a contender for gotg. not because its the best game, but because its realy different and works great.
rocket league isnt up their, its not new or fresh, its just another entry in a smaller game series, but this time it catched fire.

bloodborne isnt even close to gotg. its just more of the same, even the framerate problems are the same.

This thread would've gone better if you said, contender for gotg *So Far*.

But even then it's probably a resounding no, it's a great game but it's getting wayyy more credit than it deserves.


And yes the colour wars game linked earlier looks so much like splatoon, the colour pallet the animations. Just re-skin it, add a few game modes and make some maps that take advantage of the mechanics and boom splatoon.

Well I wrote "for now" but probably bad choice of words, I've changed in "so far".

Colour Wars maybe look like Splatoon but nobody knows for that game, while Splatoon is a hit.

As a big Dark Souls fan, who prefer Action/Adventure games over shooters, I still think Splatoon is by far the best game so far this decade. At least the Multiplayer is the most fun and unique so far. The single player, on the other hand, is kind of icky. Whoever doubts Splatoon has bad taste, no doubt.

Not enough chatter about it to be a gotg game. Cod4 exploded on to the scene everyone had to play it, talk about it, gameplay it (insert any real gotg james bond 64, GTA, skyrim, crysis, COD, Mario galaxy, uncharted 2). Now im not on all the sites like i used to be but i dont see nearly enough chatter to even consider splatoon a gotg contender. I dont own a wii u and will never so my opinion on the game itself is not needed.

I doubt the games staying power and player base to ever get it to gotg contender.

I do think that most of this is a coincidence, and that it doesn't really matter anyway. But 'Splatoon sold better and no one really knows the other so it's better' Isn't a great argument xD
