Forums - Movies & TV - Fantastic Four (2015) - Now 8%(!) on Rotten Tomatoes

None of the trailers for it impressed me so I thought it would get low reviews but I didn't expect them to be that low can't wait to actually see some video reviews of the movie.

It's currently at a 4.3/10 on imdb as far as viewer reviews go so most people besides critics don't like it that much either.

Wow thaks for the link.

They turned Reed Richards into Bruce Banner. How did they think that was a good idea?

Users love it, though. I've recently been inducted into a group that dresses in Super hero costumes and appears at movies, sporting events, and hospitals. They're going to see it tonight (I'm not). I'll see what they say.

So that's why the pants you gave me were made out of spandex and had underwear on the outside.  That sets my mind at ease.

Well, somewhat.

On topic, I think they need to give up on the F4.  Mr. Fantastic will never, ever look cool on film.  The New Mutants would be a better choice.  Also, I think Marvel only sold the rights to those IP because they were on the verge of going out of business.

Whenever there's a film based on a Marvel property that ISN'T made by Marvel it always ends up being bad. It happened with The Amazing Spider-Man and now with Fantastic Four and at this point Marvel is the only company that can do their character films great.

Marvel has been on an amazing roll for the most part for the past few years with their movies with amazing films like Guardians of the Galaxy,Ant-Man, etc. (I didn't think Age of Ultron was that good, but that's just me) and I could see if the rights go back to them that they could make a good Fantastic Four movie.

I won't be surprised if the rights go back to Marvel just like Spider-Man did because companies should just realize that Marvel does best with their own characters.

Amazing Spider-Man wasn't bad. But it didn't do anything to move the franchise forward as a movie property. So it deservedly got criticism for that.

The movie is at 9% now. This is a total disaster for the franchise. The silver lining is that Fox is likely to want to sell the rights back to Marvel at a pretty bargain basement price. And at least that means Marvel can bring Galactus into the MCU. If I was Marvel I'd leave the F4 team itself out of the MCU plans for at least 10 years.

I saw the trailer months ago and thought it looked badass. Maybe the trailer didn't represent the quality of the film, like other trailers?

I'll check it out eventually anyways. This rating is really surprising to me.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

It's a reboot no one really wanted. I thought the trailers weren't very good; I have zero hype for it.
