Hm, after watching that game I have hope again that Dallas will have a shot at the division.

Uh Giants, I said WIN by 7, not score 7 and call it a day. I figured both would play mediocre, thus it'd a be a close game, so the Giants superior offense would win the day, but instead they won it for the Eagles. Welp NFC East still up for grabs to whoever is the least suck.

You know I would be more surprised about this tragic performance by the Giants if it was anybody other than the Eagles, but as usual the Giants looked terrible and Eli played like a mess (Although I blame most of his performance on the horrible OL). This match up is truly cursed and now I have to listen to Eagles fans all day!

Not to poo poo on the Eagles parade, but they really should have destroyed the Giants tonight. I mean they beat them by 20 points, but Sam Bradford should have scored around 50 points against that defense. Instead he has a modest game with 3 bonehead interceptions. Also the eagles offense got bailed out way to much by dumb Giants mistakes. When this team goes against a half way decent team that wants to win they will get exposed. Butttttttt congrats on the win tonight Eagles you guys certainty deserved it more than the Giants...

Lot of tossups here. Seattle could continue to unravel. Cleveland could catch STL on a zero-offense day. Oakland could rock SD. Etc. Not a single one of these do I feel 100% about.

People shouldn't put too much stock in those strength of schedule stats. Teams that win a lot will automatically move closer to the bottom, because handing out a loss to another team means that their schedule got easier due to that other team now having a worse record than before. Essentially, teams get punished for winning games.

The same thing applies vice versa, so you can't really say that the teams who lost a lot of games did so because they faced such good opponents, because there's also the possibility that such loser teams are plain and simply bad. In other words, they would lose a lot of games regardless of their schedule.

I don't consider these strength of schedule rankings useful at all.

I think you are butthurt because your team has an easy schedule every year. Lions suck. Vikings suck and the bears suck almost every year.

ANNOUNCEMENT - Week 6 Results and Standings

A ho-hum week for the prediction league. Only 19 players finished with a positive record and the top marks were 10-4. What makes things interesting is that people were spread quite evenly among the five different records, so there is quite a lot of movement in the standings. This is the second week in a row without a perfect MNF prediction. TheGoldenBoy's flawless streak of top 3 finishes continues.

castor gained the most this week and separated himself from the rest of the contenders. Things are thinning out at the top; last week the top 11 were within three games, this week only the top 5 are. Win percentages of all players have continually improved since the week 2 disaster, so now the playoff cutoff is above .600 (EDIT: Actually, that isn't true. But does anyone read what I write? I don't think so. END EDIT). Arkaign seems to be the prime meridian of the league with his five third place finishes; never great, but not bad either. There is a bunch of gaps between the players ranked below 24th place, so there is a risk of falling out of the playoff picture. Yes, it's still the first half of the season, but drama creates excitement and urgency.

Looking ahead, week 7 will be the last gameday of October and three of the five remaining undefeated teams have a bye week. If that isn't already enough of a damper, the next game of the International Series in London awaits us. Like usual, the NFL sends totally amazing teams to Europe, this time the Bills and the Jaguars.

A note for Europeans: Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend during the night from Saturday to Sunday, so the deadline is an hour earlier than usual. This affects week 7's Sunday and Monday games as well as week 8's TNF.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.
