I'm definitely excited about that! c:
Are you excited to see the combat system change? | |||

Given that I never understood why people like FFVII so much, any changes would be welcome. I didn't care for the game play nor the narrative. At least they are addressing one of them.

You aren't infering you expect pre rendered backgrounds are you?
That is honestly fine. I've always said, turn based combat is a thing of the past. In my opinion, there is no reason to pick it over action combat (outside of specifically strategy RPGs) outside of nostalgia for the glory days of RPGs, especially in an age where fast-paced and flashy action is more popular.
That being said, the combat for this remake could be real shit if not executed properly and may be safer just to stick to turn-based. I am cautiously optimistic.

That is where I disagree, turnbased battles can exist in the modern age, and offer more than just nostalgia.

No. I guess I worded it really badly. Fixed camera adds so much charm and uniqueness to different places and needs to be used frequently. There can definitely be free camera but not 100% of the time you are controlling the character.
I cannot imagine toilet-free life.
Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

I thought this was expected the moment it was announced. I expected basically a new game with an old story. I'm surprised that there's so many people surprised by this.

I fully expect and want 3rd person free camera in the Remake.

The camera will be a behind the back, full control, 100% of time, 3D camera. Period. That is the modern standard that every JRPG franchise has adopted.

It can indeed. I've been playing Divinity: Original Sin and the turn-based combat there is phenomenal. Still, i feel that it is too restrictive to have to choose between freaking moving and attacking in the middle of a fight. For me, I can't have that "suspesnsion of disbelief" moment. Not to mention having to sit there and take a beating for no reason when in any fight, i should be able to dodge, evade or counter an enemy attack.
